Gauchezco Malbec 2010
Gauchezco Malbec 2010. This Malbec has an intense and lively deep red purple color. Fruity notes of plum, raspberry, dry fig and raisins along with floral notes of violets. Complex and harmonious wine, with a soft and velvety entry, firm tannins and lovely juicy finish.
Mother nature has been kind to Mendoza. The Andes gloriously rise above the vineyards and their majestic beauty is only matched by their resourcefulness. While the vineyards receive less than 10 inches of rainfall per year, snow melt from the mountain tops provides a refreshingly natural irrigation system for the vines. The highest peak in the Andes, Mount Aconcagua, sits above the region at 23,000 feet, as if a column holding up the sky itself. It is the tallest mountain peak in all of the Americas.
